: "Serves as a senior Geologist in the Environmental Section, and is
: principally involved in the scientific characterization of subsurface
: conditions in support of District design and construction activities. 
: Applies expertise in geology, groundwater hydrology, geophysics,
: geochemistry, soil and rock mechanics, and the methods of geotechnical
: site investigations to applications in foundation and pavement
: engineering, earthwork and site drainage, slope stability, underground
: construction, groundwater resource development, and environmental
: projects.  Plans, performs, and oversees field investigations and
: laboratory testing work.  Makes extensive use of computer technology and
: specialty software programs in the reduction, analysis, and presentation
: of project data."
