형 태 (Morphology)3쌍의 매우 얕고 짧은 측미간주름이 있는 장방형의 미간(眉間)과 넓은 고정볼, 뒤쪽으로 향하는 안융기, 반원형의 큰 안검엽, 앞으로 넓게 벌어지며 직선인 전부안선, 12개의 흉부 체절과 긴 침이 달린 흉부 늑막엽, 6개의 축환이 있는 작은 미부 그리고 얕은 늑막주름과 좁은 연변을 갖고 있는 미부가 특징이다.

특 징 (Remarks)Erixanium similis는 마차리층 중부 (Eugonocare longifrons대)의 흑색 셰일에서 산출된다. 이 종은 미국 Nevada의 Erixanium multisegmentus와 유사하지만 장방형의 미간과 더 넓은 고정볼 및 미부축엽에 의해 구분된다. Erixanium alienum은 더 많은 수의 미부축환을 갖고 있으며, 남중국의 Erixanium rectangularis는 4쌍의 측미간주름과 더 깊은 후두부고리주름 및 약간 더 넓은 고정볼을 갖고 있다.
