형 태 (Morphology)크라니디움(cranidium)은 정방형이고 미간은 크라니디움 길이의 1/2정도이며 측미간주름은 잘 보이지 않는다. 후두부고리는 중앙이 더 길어지며 전미간 길이는 크라니디움 길이의 약 30%를 차지한다. 두부연변의 앞쪽은 완만하게 휘어있고 두부연변주름은 관찰되지 않는다. 전미간면적은 부드럽게 부풀어 있고 앞쪽으로 경사진다. 고 솟아있고 전미간면적과 거의 같은 길이 이며 두부연변 주름은 얕다. 전부안선은 앞쪽으로 가면서 좁아진다. 안검엽은 크고 안융기는 잘 보이지 않는다.

특 징 (Remarks)Metagraulos sampoensis는 영월지역의 삼방산층 중부 및 상부(Metagraulos sampoensis대 및 Megagraulos semicircularis대)의 사암에서 산출된다. 크기가 작은 삼엽충으로서 긴 안검엽, 거의 보이지 않는 두부연변주름, 측미간주름이 없는 미간 및 희미한 안융기 등이 특징이다.
