형 태 (Morphology)크라니디움(cranidium)의 두부연변은 도뷸러(dobulure)가 잘 각인되어 있고 위로 솟아 있으며, 넓은 고정볼과 4쌍의 측미간 주름, 그리고 작은 중앙 돌기가 있는 후두부고리를 갖고있다. 미부(pygidium)는 5개의 축환과 말단 축환, 13개의 늑막엽 및 매우 좁은 미부연변을 갖고 있는 것이 특징이다.

특 징 (Remarks)Kashmir에서 보고된 T. breviceps의 미부(Kobayashi, 1934, pl. 1, fig. 6)는 마차리층에서 산출된 표본(Kobayashi, 1935, pl. 15, figs. 8-9; Kobayshi, 1962, pl. 1, fig. 4)과 동종이다. 카나다(Canada)의 스티븐층에서 보고된 T. stephensis (Kobayashi, 1935, pl. 15, figs.2-5) 는 T. breviceps와 매우 유사하지만 전자는 동일한 폭의 두부연변과 더 좁은 고정볼을 갖고 있어서 후자와 구분된다. 시베리아의 Paradoxides sacheri-Tomagnostus fissus대에서 산출된 T. khorbuuonkensis의 두부(Solovyev, 1989, pl. 7, fig. 9)는 3쌍의 측미간주름과 앞으로 둥그런 모양의 두부연변을 갖고 있으며 안융기가 없는 점에서 이 종과 구분된다.
