형 태 (Morphology)	두부는 거의 원형이며 길이와 폭이 같은 아그노스티드 삼엽충이다. 두부 및 미부 연변의 폭은 좁고 연변주름은 깊지 않다. 세로 방향의 전미간중앙주름은 잘 발달되어 있고 미간(眉間)은 두부 길이의 약 70%를 차지한다. 2쌍의 측미간엽편이 있으며 기저엽편은 작다. 후미부골침은 짧고 표면은 매끄럽다.

특 징 (Remarks)	Innitagnostus inexpectans는 마차리층의 Hancrania brevilimbata대, 카나다 British Columbia주의 McKay Group과 래비트케틀층의 Glyptagnostus reticulatus대 및 Olenaspella regularis대, 네바다 (Dunderberg층)와 앨라바마(Conasauga층)의 Aphelaspis대, 호주의 Glyptagnostus reticulatus대 및 Erixanium sentum대, 카자흐스탄의 Glyptagnostus stolidotus대, G. reticulatus대 및 Homagnostus longiformis대, 북중국 신장지역의 Glyptagnostus reticulatus대 그리고 남중국의 Innitagnostus inexpectans-Proceratopyge protracta대에서 산출된다. 이 종은 더욱 뚜렷한 세로 방향의 전미간중앙주름과 더 크고 앞쪽이 움푹 패인 큰 사다리꼴의 전미간을 갖고 있는 점에서 I. innitens와 구분된다.
