형 태 (Morphology)두부와 미부의 표면에 방사상의 주름진 주름 장식이 있는 아그노스티드 삼엽충으로 후기 캄브리아기 전기의 대표적인 표준화석이다. 세로 방향의 전미간중앙주름은 완전하게 발달되어 있다. 미간은 두부 길이의 약 3/5를 차지하며 전미간은 거의 5각형이다. F3는 앞쪽으로 휘어져 있으며 측면에서 더 깊다. 후미간은 전미간 길이의 약 3배이다. 기저엽편은 크고 두 부분으로 나뉘며 두부골침은 짧다. 미부(pygidium)는 길이와 폭이 거의 같으며 축엽의 길이는 미부 길이의 약 70%를 차지하고 축엽은 뒤로 가면서 급격히 좁아진다. 전미부축엽은 축엽 길이의 약 1/3을 차지하며 사다리꼴이다. 축엽의 가장자리에는 작은 홈(notulae)들이 13∼15개 있으며 후미부축엽의 끝은 후미부중앙주름까지 연장된다. 후미부축엽에는 2개의 돌출엽(b2, b3)이 있으며 뒤의 것(b3)은 크기가 매우 작다.

특 징 (Remarks)이 종은 마차리층, 미국 네바다, 호주 Queensland, Kazahstan 말리카라타우, 그리고 남중국 절강성지역의 후기 캄브리아기 전기 지층(Glyptagnostus stolidotus대)에서 산출된다. 마차리층(덕우단면)에서는 7cm의 구간에서만 약 50여개의 두부표본과 70여개의 미부 표본이 산출되었다. 카자흐스탄에서 보고된 Glyptagnostus fossus 및 남중국 절강성에서 산출된 Glyptagnostus reticulatus angelini는 Glyptagnostus stolidotus이다.
